About Science Coffee

Science Coffee is a talk series held every Wednesday and Friday* at 10:30 a.m. in the STScI Library. Wednesday's are reserved for the Colloquia speakers while STScI astronomers, scientists, postdocs, or visitors give talks on Fridays.

Speakers discuss some of their recent work informally, over a cup of coffee**. Given the informal nature, only handouts are allowed. No presentation software! Discussions last approximately 30 minutes.

The current organizers of science coffee are:
Preethi Nair
Russell Ryan

Please email us if you or a collaborator
would like to give a talk.

*Additional science coffee talks can be held on Mondays or Thursdays (if required) but never on Tuesdays which is reserved for the joint STScI/JHU science coffee hour.

**Coffee is not provided but is available in the STScI cafeteria 'Azafran' or at the different coffee clubs located throughout the building. The nearest to the Library are in the kitchen, associated with the boardroom, and in the North wing, opposite room N414. Pricing at every location varies.
